Hello! I am excited to be beginning my 18th year in education! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from UNC - Chapel Hill and my Master's degree in Information Science with a concentration in School Libraries from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. I grew up in New York, but once I stepped on the campus at Chapel Hill, I knew it was where I belonged and I have been in the south ever since! My family and I moved to Concord six summers ago, after living in Knoxville for 11 years, and are happy to be back in NC.
I have been married for 17 years to my wonderful husband, Mike, and we have two daughters - 11-year-old Sophie (who is a 6th grader at Royal Oaks School of the Arts) and 8-year-old Sydney (who is a 3rd grader at CMES) - and THREE feline furbabies named Emma, Edsel, and Edele. Two years ago we also adopted a Shih Tzu named Dumpling, and now our family is complete!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year in the library!

The [School Name] Book Fair is an exciting event that brings the joy of books to our students while supporting our library programs. Parents, you can make shopping easy and cash-free by filling your child’s eWallet, a digital payment option that empowers students to shop independently while staying within budget. We also need volunteers to help make this event a success! From setting up displays to assisting young readers in finding their next favorite book, your time and support make a big difference.
Students can expand their access to library collections by linking their school accounts with the public library and its resources (specifically SORA or NC Kids Digital).
