Cox Mill Elementary first opened its doors to the students of Cabarrus County in August 2022 with Dr. Colleen Sain as the principal. Students from Weddington Hills Elementary and W.R. Odell Elementary moved in as the inaugural classes for Cox Mill.

Since starting in 2002, the Cox Mill community has seen a tremendous change to the surrounding landscape. Each year, we welcome many new neighbors as the southwestern portion of Cabarrus County continues to evolve and grow. Over the years, the school has continued to educate wonderful students who have gone on to great success!

This year, we welcomed over 1,100 students to our community as we began the school year. We continue forward with our Mandarin Immersion program in K-5. We continue to be amazed at the daily work of our teachers and staff.
