An informational flyer for CCS 101, the Cabarrus County Schools Community Academy, inviting parents and community members to connect.Good evening, CCS community:

Get to know the people, decisions, and daily work behind your local schools.

CCS 101, the new Cabarrus County Schools Community Academy, invites parents and community members to go behind the scenes, connect with district leaders, ask questions, and share their perspectives. Together, we can build stronger connections between our schools and the community we serve.

Ever wondered how school decisions are made, what keeps a district running, or how CCS supports students with different needs? CCS 101 is your opportunity to find out.

Our new Community Academy will offer parents and community members six sessions to explore Cabarrus County Schools from the inside. Meet district leaders, take part in open conversations, and learn how people and programs work together to support students.

You bring the curiosity. We’ll bring the conversation.

Each session explores a different part of CCS:

  • Nov. 24, 2026: How CCS Works
  • Jan. 13, 2027: The People of CCS
  • Feb. 5, 2027: Behind the Bell: Keeping CCS Running
  • March 4, 2027: Teaching Every Learner
  • April 13, 2027: Supporting the Whole Child
  • May 12, 2027: Pathways, Possibilities, and the Student Experience

All sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Visit www.engagewithccs.com/ccs101 to learn more about the program.

Link to apply by Monday, Oct. 26

Selected applicants will be notified by Friday, Nov. 6, with session locations and additional details.

Get connected. Get informed. Get to know CCS.
